You pick a goal — gym, running, reading, meditation, sobriety, or any of 13 categories — set a weekly schedule, and agree on a financial stake. Miss a session, and you owe your rival. It uses selfie verification for 'do' goals and an honor system for 'don't' goals like sobriety.

How does AccountabiliBuddy work?

Three steps: 1) Pick a rival and text them a pact code. 2) Set your weekly goal and financial stake ($5, $25, $50 — you choose). 3) Check in each session with a selfie or tap-to-confirm. Your rival verifies your check-ins. At the end of each week, whoever missed their target owes the other person. Payments are settled privately through Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or any method you prefer — the app never touches your money.

Is AccountabiliBuddy free?

Yes. AccountabiliBuddy is completely free to download and use. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or hidden fees. The app does not process payments — financial stakes are settled privately between rivals using their preferred payment method.

What goals can I track with AccountabiliBuddy?

AccountabiliBuddy supports 13 built-in goal categories: gym, running, reading, meditation, studying, cooking, worship, journaling, yoga, sobriety, no sugar, no smoking, and no social media. Categories are split into 'do' goals (things you want to do more of, verified by selfie) and 'don't' goals (habits you want to break, verified by tap-to-confirm honor system).

Does AccountabiliBuddy handle money or payments?

No. AccountabiliBuddy tracks who owes what each week but never processes payments. When someone loses a week, they settle up privately with their rival using Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or any other payment method. The app provides a settlement ledger and confirmation flow, but all money stays between the two people in the pact.

Does financial accountability actually work?
